Hops or hops flowers are an interesting herb. Though the plant is associated with the Sun and Mars, due to it's warmth/light seeking and "claws" respectively it's magical/medicinal use has been primarily been to encourage sleep/sedation and has a dampening effect on the sex drive. It is used in teas or placed under pillows to encourage sleep, dream divination, and dream magic work. It can also be added to ritual baths. The "claw" has associated it with wolf magic, the association to wolves indicated in its scientific name Humulus lupulus.
