Freyr - Custom Altar Piece

The patron commissioned an altar piece of the Norse God Freyr. It was a surprise gift and so there was much collaboration to determine what the recipient would most connect with. Damian saw an image of a large vessel decorated with a depiction of a boar and though neither he nor the patron knew of any references to Freyr owning such a possession, it was agreed it “felt right”. A mutual friend, a priestess of the Vanir, was later consulted concerning details of the piece and confirmed peer-corroborated gnosis regarding the use of large vessels for ritual, offering, and divination as a possible aspect of Freyr’s role as priest of the gods when residing in Asgard.

This piece was created by stoneware ceramic finished with a dark stains and a metallic paint, and stands about 9 inches tall.
